Minibus D1

If you’re looking to drive a minibus for school runs, contract hire, charities, or other organisations, this Category D1 training package is designed to set you up for success.

What This Licence Allows You to Drive

Once you’ve completed this course and passed all the required tests, you’ll be qualified to:

• Drive minibuses with up to 17 seats (including the driver).
• Tow trailers up to 750kg. For heavier trailers, you’ll need the D1+E test.

Duration

• 2-day training course with your test on the 3rd day.
• Allow 6–8 weeks for medical and theory test appointments, as well as for the DVLA to process your provisional licence.

What’s Included

This comprehensive package covers everything you need to obtain your Category D1 licence:

• 12 hours of 1-to-1 tuition, vehicle hire, and professional instruction using our 17-seater Fiat Ducato Maxi Minibus.
• DVSA Module 3a (off-road) practical test fee (£40).
• DVSA Module 3b (on-road) practical test fee (£115).
• VAT included on training costs (test fees are VAT-exempt).

Requirements

To take this course, you’ll need:

• To be 18 or older.
• A valid UK car driving licence.
• Category D1 provisional entitlement on your licence.
• To have passed PCV hazard perception and multiple-choice tests and case studies CPC.
• Your driving licence for the course duration.
• A photo card licence that’s up to date (renewed every 10 years).
