Get Your Category C Class 2 Licence for Large Goods Vehicles (LGV)

If you’re ready to take the wheel of a tipper, flatbed, or box/curtainsider truck, this is the complete package to get you there. We are 3A DVSA approved reversing and uncoupling assessors and  Mod 4 CPC DVSA approved assessors.

What You’ll Be Qualified to Drive

Once you complete this course and pass all tests, you’ll be licensed to drive:

• Rigid goods vehicles up to 32 tonnes.
• A trailer weighing up to 750kg with a Category C vehicle. (For larger loads, the C+E licence takes you up to 44,000kg.)
• Automatic trucks, provided you already hold a manual car licence.

Course Duration

• 2 days of 1-to-1 tuition, plus your test on the 3rd day.
• Allow 6–8 weeks to complete the full process, depending on:
  • Booking your medical and theory test appointments.
  • How quickly the DVLA processes your provisional licence.

What’s Included in the Package

• 12 hours of vehicle and instructor hire with our Renault t range 430bhp 18 ton rigid truck.
• DVSA Module 3a (off-road) practical test fee (£40).
• DVSA Module 3b (on-road) practical test fee (£115).
• Module 4 LGV CPC test fee (£41).
• VAT on training costs (note: test fees are VAT-exempt).

Requirements to Get Started

To take part in the course, you must:

• Be 18 or older.
• Hold a UK car driving licence.
• Have Category C provisional entitlement on your licence.
• Pass LGV hazard perception, multiple choice, and LGV CPC case studies.
• Bring your driving licence for the duration of the course.
• Ensure your photo card licence is up-to-date (new photo every 10 years).
